ABOUT FIONA
Creativity has always woven its way through my life and work. The Helford River has been home for most of my life, and now we have a little piece of its landscape to call our own and care for. A new chapter rooted in nurturing the land, noticing the changing seasons and finding creativity in everyday life.For me, creativity reaches far beyond the worktable — it’s in the garden and the home, in growing and gathering, making things by hand, and noticing the small details along the way.
WHAT I’M CREATING
On my Autumn worktable
As the garden moves into autumn, the colours on my worktable are changing too — rich dahlias, rudbeckias and sunflowers, fading seed heads, old linens and warmer threads are finding their way into my stitching.I love taking my work out to the greenhouse, tucked amongst the kitchen garden. It’s having a little autumn refresh at the moment, blankets, cushions and the comfy garden furniture, ready to make it a cosy place to sit and stitch as the days grow cooler.It’s one of my favourite places to work, surrounded by the changing colours of the garden and all those little details that so often find their way into my textiles.
